[Abu, Washed] Having able to drink coffees of Jose from different places have been captivating for us. Drinking Abu has always reminded us of its prominent floral presence. The lot we got, is no different. It’s floral, sweet and very approachable.
This Geisha lot goes through a double phase washed processed where the cherries were first placed in a sealed tank to ferment before de-pulping. After de-pulping, the coffee is then dry fermented for 72 hours before going through washed process with spring water from the mountains.
This lot is complex in flavors, prominent in sweetness. It has a floral aromatic of yellow flowers, to us its like osmanthus. Followed with a distinct lychee and layering mango characters.
This coffee has many tones of yellow but not in any way mellow.
